Dr. David Samadi has been a medicine enthusiast all his life. He is the current Chairman of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is an Iranian who was displaced after the Revolution in Iran in 1979. Accompanied by his brother, Dr. David Samadi moved to Belgium. They spent six months there and they went through a lot of challenges.
Luckily, David and his brother got a chance to go to Northern London. In 1984, they went to America as immigrants and found a home away from home. Although their parents were not there to keep tabs on their actions, the two brothers worked hard to fulfill their parents’ expectations. Dr. David Samadi’s dream to become a doctor was still alive. He attended high school in Roslyn, New York. He did very well in science and joined Stony Broke University where he studied Biochemistry. He was among the best students. In 1994, he acquired his Master’s Degree from S.U.N.Y, Stony Broke, New York.
Dr. David went to Montefiore Medical Center where he underwent Urology Training. In 1996, he went to Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he completed his training. In 2001, he went to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York to do his proctology oncology fellowship. He was helped by Professor Claude Abbou to complete his robotic radical prostatectomy fellowship in 2002. This was held at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil in Paris, France. David’s career had a strong foundation that earned him more respect in the field.
Dr. Samadi has thrived in his career. He is the most trusted urologist in the world today. David was on the frontline in using the Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy or RALP. This procedure is used to treat men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He has been approved to diagnose and treat urologic diseases such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and other related diseases.
He joined Medical Advisory Board at PinnacleCare International. He is the Director and founder of Mount Sinai’s Robotic Fellowship Program. He is also an author and his articles have been published in major magazines including Journal of Robotic Surgery, Urologic Oncology, and Journal of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons among others. In these articles, he educates people on issues regarding urological diseases. Dr. Samadi has done his surgeries successfully and he hopes to help many men access diagnosis, treatment, and therapy easier.
