Rick Smith began his educational career by receiving an Associates Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the State University of New York in Buffalo, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the State University also. He earned an MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. From 1972 to 1998, he held several positions with Global Crossing North America, inc. This helped prepare for the leader that he later became. His transaction to team with JPay put Securus in the fast growing lane of providing technology for corrections. All segments of law enforcement will benefit greatly from this acquisition. It will make a major change in the way that prisoners can receive money, and it will allow the use of emails, and even some entertainment with this feature.
